Anya-Taylor Joy has finally addressed the rumour about her voice-acting vomit while recording for The Super Mario Bros Movie.
The Peaky Blinders actress opened up that she threw up from her first voice acting session, and not specifically for her Princess Peach role for The Super Mario Bros Movie.
“It’s super fun,” she said of voice acting during an appearance on The Late Show With Seth Meyers in March.
However, Anya revealed that this is the first time she ever did a voice-acting session and didn’t realise how “taxing it would be” due to continuous yelling.
“I think the first time I ever did it, I threw up,” mentioned the 29-year-old.
Meanhwhile, The Queen’s Gambit actress now clarified that her voice-acting story wasn’t for Super Mario Bros, but for another project she did.
She told Entertainment Tonight, “I never said it was Princess Peach. I said it was the first time that I ever did voice acting.”
Anya recalled going in “quite blind and did it for eight straight hours, which was full of screaming and efforts,” and then she “drank so much water” that she “puked”.
“So, I don’t do that anymore. I break it up and it’s helpful,” added the actress.
