Taylor Swift dropped some words of wisdom for her fans and those listening at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards after winning the Artist of the Year award.
The Bejeweled singer received the honour on March 26 by the Olympic figure skater Alysa Liu, whom she had previously introduced via an Instagram video for the 2026 Winter Olympics.
At the beginning of her acceptance speech, the 14-time Grammy winner praised the athlete who brought so much “happiness” in the world and to her.
Taylor went on to reflect on being an artist, saying that her art started out as a hobby of coming home from school to play guitar and wrote songs.
"I just wanna say like when I was 12 years old, I had the luxury of spending thousands of hours working at my craft, practicing making mistakes through trial and error and that was all completely unobserved, right? So, that was just me and my craft," Swift said.
"If I had, if I had one hope for you, I would say that I hope that you get to nurture your hobby and your passion just between you and that craft, and you give yourself time. Give yourself time to make mistakes, give yourself time to hone your craft,” she added.
The Opalite singer also told that crowd that she believes that anything they feed their mind, it will internalize and anything they feed the internet, it will attempt to kill, which she does not want for their dreams.
Notably, Swift thanked her fans and listeners for allowing her to turn her hobby into her dreams and her career.
