Howie Mandel ‘offended’ by Kelly Ripa’s remark about milestone birthday

Howie Mandel has snapped at Kelly Ripa and her husband Mark Consuelos on air after the actress attempted to compliment the talent show judge.

The America’s Got Talent judge was congratulated by the TV host on reaching his milestone 70th birthday, to which he reacted in an unexpected manner.

Amid the conversation the 55-year-old said that it didn’t make sense which the newly-turned 70-year-old did not appreciate.

What do you mean it doesn't make any sense? That I look great? No. no. no. I don't like that because that's a caveat. When you tell someone you're 70, and they say you look great…" Howie added.

Kelly and Mark then attempted to de-escalate the situation, telling the Canadian comedian that they were saying that he looks great and it’s unbelievable that he is his age.

"No. no. It's like saying you're smart for a stupid person, Oh, you seem smart, you seem smart, you see, no, I don't look good," Howie added.

The Deal or No Deal host then eased the tension himself by admitting that he was gorgeous, and shared that his secret was his challenging workout routine.
