Mel B confirms Spice Girls 30th anniversary tour “isn’t happening.”
Fans hoping to see the Spice Girls hit the road in 2026 will be disappointed, as she has finally confirmed the long-rumoured reunion will not take place.
The 50-year-old pop icon, whose full name is Melanie Brown, opened up to New York Post’s PageSix about the scrapped plans, admitting she’d love to tour but the timing just hasn’t worked out.
“I’m always the one going: ‘Yes, we’re going on tour’. I would love to go on tour. I would love to do music, but it isn’t happening,” she said.
“I wouldn’t be sitting here if it weren’t for my other four girls, if I weren’t a part of that kind of girl power crazy roller coaster ride.”
The news comes just a week after The Sun reported the band had failed to reach an agreement on the comeback shows, leaving fans with empty stadiums instead of reunion glitter.
Mel C, aka Melanie Chisholm, has previously spoken about the importance of marking the milestone, describing the 30th anniversary as “precious” and admitting the group feels pressure to get it right.
The Wannabe hitmakers last performed together as a fivesome at the 2012 London Olympics Closing Ceremony.
Victoria Beckham has been notably absent from recent tours, focusing on family and business, though she teased a possible reunion in September after attending an Oasis concert with David Beckham and their children.
