Jay-Z has become the target of chatter online after the rap mogul made a significant change and made a major announcement regarding his live performances.
The Roc Nation record label founder has recently changed his name back to JAŸ-Z on streaming services, the way it was spelled on his debut album, Reasonable Doubt.
In addition, the 56-year-old has also announced that he will headline the May 30 date of the 2026 Roots Picnic in honour of the 30th anniversary of the album, marking his first performance with the Roots in over a decade.
Internet users have since taken to platforms such as X to express their excitement and to theorise that new music might be on the way.
One netizen wrote, "Ohhh....we getting new Hov this year. He back outside," as another commented "This means one thing: We getting an album this year.
A third remarked, “How we get an album from Hov soon” as a fourth chimed in Oh?!?! “New album for sure coming……”
Notably, Jay-Z himself has not confirmed a new album as of yet but fans and the band appear to be very excited for the upcoming show.
