Doja Cat hails Chappell Roan’s boldness amid Paparazzi frenzy

Doja Cat has voiced her support for Chappell Roan after the latter’s tense interaction with paparazzi in Paris sparked debate online earlier this week.

During a nearly seven-minute video shared on TikTok, the Paint the Town Red singer opened up about her own experiences living with Borderline Personality Disorder while reflecting on how the 28-year-old songstress handled the situation.

The Grammy winner explained that she has been “struggling with BPD” for “probably forever,” adding that she has spent years in therapy. 

She also made it clear that she was not diagnosing the Love Me Anyway hitmaker but felt the moment resonated with her personally.

“I fucking love that she does it,” she says. “I love that she can be uncomfortable, comfortably....I love it. I love that she can do that without hurting people...And that shows that I can do the same and to be like fu*k the paparazzi is the best way to be.”

Elsewhere in the clip, she discussed the culture around paparazzi and autograph hunters, particularly those who later resell signed items for profit.

“These artists aren’t just ignoring people because they’re full of themselves, and Chappell Roan is not hurting anybody,” she remarked.

Furthermore, Doja Cat also pointed out that the discussion should end, noting that Chappell Roan should be allowed to react the way she feels, and she hopes to adopt the same confidence going forward.
