Nicki Minaj has taken to her social media to wish Women on Women’s day but with a twist
Nicki Minaj has taken to her social media to wish women on International Women’s Day, but in an unconventional manner.
The Barbie Dreams singer is known for her outspoken and blunt personality, and it appears that she leaned into it while penning a short note for March 8.
In her platform on X, the mother-of-one began “Hey, you! I’m not going to write something about how strong & resilient you are b/c most of the time you shouldn’t have to be,” adding what they can do instead of being perfect.
Nicki continued, “I’d rather you laugh at the mean joke, put your foot out & trip someone walking by, order food for yourself & eat it in front of hungry family members, block ppl mid text, listen to ppl’s problems then just say “oh ok”, play your favorite song all day, admire your beauty…inside & out.”
The Chun-Li rapper also added the greeting for the day at the end, with a red bow, as her suggestion for the day marks a stark contrast to other celebrities who marked the day.
Nicki’s remark came amid her support of the President of the United States, Donald Trump which is why she continues to receive backlash over most of her social media posts.
