Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has been handed a small slice of good news behind bars, as his prison release date has been moved forward by more than five weeks.
The 56-year-old rap mogul, currently serving a 50-month sentence, is now set to walk free on April 25, 2028, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
He had originally been due out in early May that year, before the date slipped to June 4.
Now, in a twist that’s sure to lift his spirits, the clock has ticked back in his favour.
The hip-hop heavyweight, best known for hits like I’ll Be Missing You, has been locked up since his September 2024 arrest.
In July 2025, he was convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution after an explosive eight-week trial.
However, he was cleared of more serious charges including sex trafficking and racketeering.
After initially being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center, Diddy was transferred to Federal Correctional Institution Fort Dix, a low-security facility reportedly offering better conditions and access to drug rehabilitation schemes.
A spokesperson for the shamed star insists he’s taking sobriety “seriously” and flatly denied rumours he’d been caught brewing prison hooch.
Meanwhile, hopes of a presidential lifeline appear slim.
Donald Trump recently revealed Diddy had written to request a pardon but made it clear he’s not considering granting one.
He reportedly described the rapper as “very hostile” during his White House run.
