The Great Expectations lead attended the event to present her movie Marty Supreme where she shares the screen with Timothee Chalamet and Tyler the Creator.
Although the film did not win any awards, Gwyneth’s presence and her look sparked debate online as people analysed her black fit.
One of the X users was of the opinion that the actress looked “clean, sophisticated, and effortlessly timeless” at the prestigious ceremony.
Meanwhile, a critic disapproved the look, calling it awful and misfit for her, writing on the platform: “I can only assume Paltrow’s stylist secretly hates her.”
