Savannah Guthrie details fear and heartache of 24-day search

The Savannah Guthrie family is likely to get back their Arizona home.

This comes as a decision by the police that they do not have to treat the property as an active crime scene anymore.

For the unversed, the 84-year old mother vanished on February 1, the footage of an individual was posted on her official Instagram by Savannah Guthrie.

As per the federal law enforcement officers who talked to NBC, investigators are about to hand over the house back to Guthrie and her siblings, which will mark a change in the search activities that have been going on.

The Today anchor posted an emotional Instagram update on Tuesday, February 24 regarding the author who disappeared in the darkness of night. 

The American broadcaster and journalist after a long wait having days full of fear and doubt and has been frustrated.

She also attested that the family is currently rewarding information that can result in her mother being received with a reward of up to $1 million.

Guthrie encouraged all who might know something to come forward and even anonymous leads would be valuable in bringing some clarity to the experience of the family. 

Still having some hope that something will happen, she accepted the fact that it could be painful, and her mother might have passed on already, that her family needs the answers and closure.

The family will also give a 500,000 donation to the National Centre of Missing and Exploited Children, in addition to the reward, to benefit other families who have gone through a similar tragedy, making their own suffering a wider cause.
