Priyanka Chopra Jonas stirs controversy by opening up about Hollywood move

Priyanka Chopra Jonas has dished on her shift from starring in Bollywood hits to acting in Hollywood, and internet users are giving her flack for it.

The Love Again actress’s move apparently began with her physically relocating and living in Los Angeles back in 2013.

As per the actress’s cover story for Variety, the Bollywood star began feeling like her roles were limited, which is why she chose to begin again.

“To restart your career in your 30s is terrifying, I was secure. I was doing well financially. I was established. And I chose to blow it up,” Priyanka stated.

Although the mother-of-one detailed that she wanted to be a borderless entertainer, netizens dug up a past rumour alleging that was the real reason she decided to rebuild her career overseas.

“Bollywood always has a place for their actors and actresses even if you are growing older. She was blacklisted because she boinked Shah Rukh Khan and the wife found out and got her blacklisted,” one internet user wrote on X.

“I thought it was because of that affair,” another commented, and a third remarked “Translation: She slept with the biggest Bollywood star in the history of Bollywood and his wife blacklisted her.”

However, others defended Priyanka saying, “People speaking of her alleged affair ...I just think the married guy didn't suffer any consequences of the alleged affair ...only she paid the price if at all. Not a big supporter of Priyanka but this river flows both ways.”

What happened between Shahrukh and Priyanka?

Priyanka and the Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan allegedly had an affair, it is important to note that this is all speculation and rumours.
