Nicole Curtis, the star of Rehab Addict, has caused the entire series to be cancelled due to her unmistakable move during filming.
The entire series including previous seasons have been removed from streaming giants such as HBO Max and Discovery+ after the TV show host was caught being racist on camera and the show’s network HGTV issued a statement regarding the incident.
“HGTV was recently made aware of an offensive racial comment made during the filming of Rehab Addict. Not only is language like this hurtful and disappointing to our viewers, partners, and employees – it does not align with the values of HGTV,” they noted to Deadline.
The statement continued, “Accordingly, we have removed the series from all HGTV platforms. We remain dedicated to fostering a culture of respect and inclusion across our content and our workplace.”
It appears that the racial slur was the n-word, after which Curtis realised what she said and attempted to do damage control but to no avail.
Notably, Rehab Addict had premiered back in 2010, with the DIY Network before being taken on by HGTV in 2014 and now it has been completely removed from the website and other platforms.
