Kim Kardashian has revealed she received a pep talk from none other than former US President Barack Obama after failing the California bar exam.
The 45-year-old reality star, who has been studying law for several years, admitted the setback hit her hard, but Obama’s reassurance helped her regain her determination.
Speaking to Complex magazine, Kim said the president shared a little-known fact: his wife Michelle Obama didn’t pass the bar on her first attempt either.
“Even at a charity dinner, Obama told me Michelle didn’t pass on her first try,” she explained.
She also heard from other top attorneys, learning that stars like Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris faced similar hurdles.
“So it’s not the end of the world, but no excuses – you just do better,” she said.
The SKIMS founder had initially insisted she wouldn’t retake the exam, citing time and energy constraints.
Yet, just a day after learning her results, she returned to her studies with renewed focus.
“I don’t think I could live with myself if I don’t try again. I didn’t come this far just to give up,” she admitted.
The Kardashians star also opened up about the emotional toll of failing.
“I was really uncomfortable and not confident for a while… I put so much time into it, but I know what I can do better,” Kim told Time magazine.
Despite the setback, she remains determined to turn her disappointment into motivation, promising to keep her head down and focus on acing the exam next time.
