Chappell Roan had the cameras and the internet in a spin at this year’s Grammy Awards with a daring and dazzling outfit.

The 27-year-old singer turned heads on the red carpet in a trompe l’oeil Mugler gown that left everyone speechless..

Notably, the skin-tone bodice, complete with faux nipple piercings and intricate tattoo designs, was draped with sheer burgundy fabric.

The outfit was finished with a matching cape that cascaded to the floor.

The show-stopping ensemble was inspired by Thierry Mugler’s spring 1998 “Jeu de Paume” couture collection and curated by her longtime stylist Genesis Webb.

Moreover, gold fine jewellery from Buccellati completed the bold look.

Despite the buzz, Roan kept things light-hearted, sharing on Instagram, “Giggling because I don’t even think this is THAT outrageous of an outfit… The look’s actually so awesome and weird. I recommend just exercising your free will it’s really fun and silly :D”

While Hot to Go hitmaker didn’t bag a win for her latest track The Subway this year, the songstress remains a Grammy favourite after scooping Best New Artist last year.
