Tom Cruise plays fatherly role for David Beckham during family rift

David Beckham is reportedly turning to Hollywood pal Tom Cruise for support as his painful rift with son Brooklyn shows no signs of easing.

According to insiders speaking to the National Enquirer, the former England captain has been leaning on the Mission: Impossible star for advice during what friends describe as one of the toughest periods of his life. 

The 63-year-old actor is said to have urged David to stay calm, patient and keep the door open, even as emotions run high.

“Tom’s been telling David not to let pride or anger get in the way,” a source claims.

“He’s reminding him that sometimes stepping back is the only way forward. Tom genuinely feels for David.”

Tom’s advice is said to come from personal experience. 

The Top Gun: Maverick actor has reportedly been estranged from his daughter Suri, 19, for more than a decade. 

The college student, whom he shares with ex-wife Katie Holmes, is believed to have dropped the Cruise surname in recent years.

“Tom has shared what he’s learned the hard way,” spills the insider. 

“You can’t force these situations. All you can do is make sure your child knows you’ll be there when they’re ready.”

Meanwhile, Brooklyn appears far from ready to reconcile. 

In a blistering social media post, he accused his father and mother, Victoria Beckham of spreading “lies” and trying to damage his marriage to Nicola Peltz, insisting he has no desire to mend fences.

Despite feeling “desperate” to fix things, David is reportedly following Tom’s lead and staying silent publicly. 

“As much as David and Victoria want to defend themselves, they’re being advised to keep it private,” the source adds. 

“Right now, David is choosing hope over headlines.”
