Tom Cruise appeared at the 2025 Governors Awards after reportedly splitting from Ana De Armas, a relationship which was fairly short-lived.
The Hollywood A-list star crossed paths with Sydney Sweeney, who failed to meet fans’ expectations with her new movie Christy.
In a new video of the two artists, they seemed in high spirits as they chit chatted with each other. However, fans had a mix reaction to the crossover.
Referring to her controversies, one of the X users warned the Mission Impossible lead, noting: “Tom, run away from her.”
While another pointed out that they would make a great couple, suggesting: “They should hook up.”
It was earlier announced that the Top Gun: Maverick star was invited to receive an Honorary Oscar at the event held on November 16.
On the other hand, the Euphoria actress stole the spotlights with her silver, off-shoulder gown that wrapped perfectly around her curves.
This came after she faced three back to back flops following the jeans ad with American Eagle which was considered a “racist” campaign where it was declared she has “blue genes, the best jeans.”

Moreover, Sydney did not address the backlash during an interview. She was praised by the president of the United States Donald Trump.
