Jennifer Lopez has become the target of widespread backlash for the way she interacted with the glambot creator Cole Walliser at the 2026 Golden Globes.

The Jenny from the Block singer did not smile or say much to the director as he greeted and explained to her the premise of the glambot, which is a high-speed camera that captures slow-motion videos of celebrities.

It appeared that the Kiss of the Spider Woman star, was much more focused on preparing her pose and at one point even had her back to Cole, and after the recording was done, left without saying goodbye which earned her the rude title.

After the rampant backlash, the glambot mastermind took to his social media to address the situation and to defend Jennifer.

"I didn't take it personally. It didn't feel rude in that moment, I think there's a couple things that added to the fuel of this idea. One, she's just down to business. The carpet was closed... She got into the position,” Cole stated.

"It's just unfortunate that the position was she was facing away from me. So I am talking to her, she is looking away, but she's getting ready for the move…I've never felt anybody was rude to me. I think people are at work. They're rushed. The world is crazy, and I never take it personal," he added.

The Canadian filmmaker explained the entire situation in detail and even reiterated that Jennifer was in a hurry.

Notably, Cole also thanked fans for always having his back and supporting him, adding that he finds the evolution of the glambot cool.
