Ben Affleck has made a surprising admission about his children with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner and their potential careers.
The Gone Girl actor shares Violet, twenty, Seraphina, seventeen, and Samuel, thirteen with the Alias actress and has now remarked on how he feels about their children following in their footsteps.
In an interview with E! News at the premiere of The Rip on Tuesday, the filmmaker said, "You put something on your children when you have a public life and that's complicated. We really want to give them room to figure out what they want to do."
The Academy Award winner added of his children pursing acting, "I wouldn't push them into that. They're brilliant and lovely and wonderful and we love them and we're proud of them,” quipping "and hope that they don't waste their life acting."
Ben also acknowledged the differences between his upbringing and his children’s, adding that it was a blessing that he grew up with anonymity and to have struggled to be where his is.
Notably, the pair’s oldest, Violet, is a Yale University freshman and has been very outspoken about environmental issues.
Yes, Ben and Ana dated from March 2020 to January 2021 after meeting at the set of Deep Water.
