Jay-Z made a rare public appearance only a few weeks after his wife, Beyoncé, achieved a significant financial goal.
The 56-year-old business mogul and rapper left his Roc Nation offices in New York City on Friday, January 9 and was immediately surrounded by fans.
When his working day was over, the Empire State of Mind hitmaker paused and met his fans and also did autographs outside the building.
The low-key outing saw Jay-Z, whose actual name is Shawn Corey Carter, don a suave office worker in a grey suit under a matching sweater.
Later, the father of three completed the look with a beanie and sunglasses.
The 25-time Grammy Award winner appeared alone after a recent collaboration with Beyoncé.
The two-decade duo were most recently spotted together in November at the Formula 1 Heineken Las Vegas Grand Prix.
Earlier in December, Beyoncé, 44, was listed as a Forbes billionaire, making her one of the few examples of industry-affluent, including Jay-Z, Taylor Swift, Rihanna and Bruce Springsteen.
The new status of the singer follows the enormous success of her Cowboy Carter album, a record-breaking world tour with 2025 concerts and her growing business enterprises, including Parkwood Entertainment and her haircare line, Cécred.
