Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang dished a number of political takes on their podcast recently, with the former also commenting on donations for Jasmine Crockett.

The comedian told Las Culturistas podcast listeners and voters to not donate to the Texas Democratic Representative for her U.S. Senate campaign.

In the episode, the 35-year-old stated that he doesn’t like It when political figures make things too obviously about themselves, “And don’t waste your money sending to Jasmine Crockett. Do not do it. Don’t do it, you’re going to waste your money,” a statement Bowen agreed with.

Matt has now taken to his Instagram stories to write, “Hey everybody. I hear the response and I am taking every bit of it to heart, I promise… I’m a very progressive person who cares deeply about winning these elections, but my phrasing was not right. I will be more thoughtful! I really do promise.”

He added, “I have great respect and admiration for Rep. Crockett, and I regret that my words suggested otherwise. I just want us to win and I will be better at finding ways to help.”

Matt is evidently a supporter of the Democratic party, and noted that he was committed to be being more transparent and honest and take accountability.

Why is Matt Rogers famous?
