American composer Marc Shaiman has reflected on his memories with Rob Reiner after his death.
The acclaimed Hollywood composer is set to publish his memoir titled Never Mind the Happy, in which he talks about his late friend who was murdered on December 14.
The American director was found dead alongside his wife Michele in their Brentwood home by their daughter Romy.
Marc and Rob have collaborated together on more than 20 projects after they first met when March was hired to compose the original score of Rob’s 1989 romcom When Harry Met Sally.
The People Magazine has revealed an exclusive excerpt from the book in which the lyricist talks about his late friend.
“Rob hired me, and while the job didn’t utilize my composing skills, working on When Harry Met Sally taught me how music is timed, recorded and placed into a movie.”, Marc writes.
He goes on to talk about how Rob talked him out of smoking and changed his perception that he needed to smoke and eat turkey to create music.
Rob and Michele’s son Nick is now facing charges of killing his parents.
