Michael Jackson, who shockingly passed away in 2009, landed in the Jeffrey Epstein’s sex offender case as a picture of the two went viral.
After a vote to pressurise the US Department of Justice to release files, significant details came to light as it named notable celebrities.
Surprisingly, the “King of Pop” was also listed in the first batch of files along with ex-President Bill Clinton, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Mick Jagger.
A picture featured President Bill with his arms on the icon’s shoulder while Diana Ross poses with the two. Faces of three other people were blurred.
After the click made the rounds, one of the Instagram influencers shared the un-blurred version in an attempt to clear the air.
It was revealed that the Smooth Criminal crooner was pictured with his own children while Diana was accompanied by her daughter.
According to a report, the photograph was taken at Michael’s performance at “a night at the Apollo” in 2002 and not on the Esptein Islands.
Other fans jumped in to defend his honour as they research on the depth of this case with one user was convinced: “They’re using Michael as a scapegoat.”
Another netizen noted that the “victims have already stated” that the legend “wasn’t an abuser.”
It is to be noted that the revelations in the case do not prove their “wrongdoing” or involvement in the offenses.
