Taylor Swift, the pop mega star has so many record breaking songs that she becomes indecisive in choosing top 5 best of her.
During her appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Wednesday night, December 10, the host asked Swift to name her top five songs from her records.
And for the multi-grammy winner singer who has so many chart topping songs, it was a tough call.
The host, Cobert, started the question with mentioning names like Dolly Parton, Elton John, Paul Simon and Bruce Springsteen, who have previously revealed their top songs on the show.
Including Swift in the Rock & Roll Hall of Famers, Colbert hastily grabbed a pen and paper to list her call. But it was too quick for her.
“This is so much pressure,” she chimed, struggling to name her records. “You’re already writing five.”
The Lover singer requested for a “little time to get back to” the host for a comprehensive list.
“Because I don’t have enough, see,” she added. “I think I require a little bit of time to like, appreciate my work in a way… and it’s constantly changing, right. It’s a little too soon.”
Swift started by naming a few favourites, beginning with the 10-minute version of “All Too Well” from Red (Taylor’s Version), released in November 2021.
“I’m really obsessed with The Life of a Showgirl right now, the whole album,” she added.
She also picked “Mirrorball” from Folklore (2020) but admitted she “can’t really do any of the others.”
Laughing, she suggested, “We could do an update at some point.”
Colbert, ever quick with a sharp remark, quipped, “You’ve got all the time you need between now and May,” a nod to his upcoming CBS exit.
