Brad Pitt’s friend, Frank Gehry, who designed the Walt Disney Concert Hall in downtown Los Angeles, passed away on Friday.

The 96-year-old’s reason of death is said to be the long-term respiratory illness, announced by the chief of staff at Gehry Partners LLP, Meaghan Lloyd.

The talented architect, who has worked with many famous personalities died on December 5, in his home in Santa Monica, California.

The well-known designer was friends with some of the renowned names in Hollywood, Brad Pitt, Ellen DeGeneres, Herbie Hancock, Quincy Jones, and Dennis Hopper.

Few of the special projects of Frank also includes Guggenheim Museum Bilbao in Spain and the Jay Pritzker Concert Pavilion in Chicago's Millennium Park.

On the unfortunate new, Jamie Lee Curtis also took to social media and paid a tribute to the famous architect.

The American actress posted a story on her Instagram on the same day when New York Times first reported his death and penned, “REST IN CREATIVITY.”

Frank first rose to fame when he designed his house in Santa Monica in 1970, which led him to receive the Pritzker Prize, architecture's highest honor in 1989.

For the unversed, Frank has also worked for Mark Zuckerberg after he requested him to design his Facebook´s Northern California headquarters.
