The 37-year-old singer broke silence to pay a gushing tribute to her homeland, which she always proudly represents.

In a recent social media update, the Work crooner congratulated Barbados: “MY HOME, on our 59th year of Independence,” marking “4th year as a Republic!”

After the removal of the British monarch, Jeffrey Bostic was appointed as the “2nd President,” alongside “Honorable Prime Minister Mia Mottley will continue to lead Barbados with excellence!!”

In the carousel, Rihanna gave a glimpse of herself and family posing in the Island country, seemingly celebrating its independence while swimming in the sea and showing off her passport.

The update won hearts as the online community appreciated the singer for honouring “her land and raises with love.”

Another netizen gave an idea to the Diamonds crooner to “make a song about being a Barbados heroine,” while someone labelled her “Caribbean Queen.”

Why is R9 delaying?

However, many admirers reminded the Grammy winner about her upcoming album R9 which continues to face delay since its announcement nearly a decade ago.

It was speculated that Rihanna is delaying the studio record due to her recurrent pregnancies as she recent gave birth to her daughter Rocki Irish Mayers after two sons.
