Ariana Grande 'responds' to rumours about 'Wicked' cast weight loss

Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo worried fans with a dramatic weight loss that became apparent after they joined Wicked’s cast.

Although the 32-year-old singer has been highlighted many times for her body, it appears Ariana is finally responding to the backlash after recent appearances at premieres.

The singer took to her Instagram to re-share a video “from the last year as a loving reminder to all,” speaking about the unrealistic beauty standards.

She explains facing public scrutiny since she “was 16 or 17,” hearing every “version of it, what’s wrong with me, and then you fix it.”

It is “hard to protect” oneself from the criticism that comes from public appearances. 

However, Ariana insisted that it’s something every woman faces on different levels, even at a Thanksgiving dinner.

The recent backlash on the actors started after many cast members of the Disney movie’s new instalment looked miles away from themselves.

Fans pointed out that the Side to Side hitmaker is not the only celebrity going through something, speculating that the creators of the project are starving stars to better fit in the role.

Is Wicked: For Good a box office hit?

On the other hand, the musical’s second part is ruling over the box office as it debuted with $147 million domestically. It is projected to collect $270 million during this holiday season.
