The Detroit natives, Jack White and Eminem showed support and loyalty to their hometown by performing at the National Football League for their team.
On Thursday, November 27, during the Thanksgiving game between the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers the Rap God singer made a surprise appearance.
He donned a blue Lions varsity jacket as he lit up the venue amid the 50-year-old’s performance at Fort Field.
The White Stripes former member sang the sporting anthem Seven Nation Army, while the 15-time Grammy winner remixed his song Till I Collapse with the 2000’s song Hello Operator, also by the band.
Eminem, who along with his manager Paul Rosenberg has struck a multi-year deal with the team to be in charge of the musical performances, already has a longstanding history of being a staunch supporter of his city.
The Mockingbird singer also had his 8-month-old grandson Elliot Marshall McClintock along with his daughter Hailie Jade watching from the stands, as the crowd went wild at the unannounced feature.
Notably, Eminem later took to his social media to thank the crowd for cheering him on at the show, tagging Jack and a few others.
No, Eminem and Megan Thee Stallion never collaborated but he took a shot at the raptress in his 2024 single Houdini. The song referenced the 2020 shooting of Megan by Tory Lanez.
