50 Cent has reportedly been dealing with an assault lawsuit before his explosive project, Sean Combs: The Reckoning airs.
The In Da Club rapper, whose legal name is Curtis Jackson III, has recently announced the upcoming Netflix documentary but it seems like the 50-year-old has simultaneously been hiding some skeletons in his closet.
As per a report by People, the plaintiff Guadalupe de los Santos, had filed a civil suit against the 50-year-old, seeking damages for assault, battery and negligence for an incident that took place in September of 2024.
Guadalupe maintained that Curtis’s SUV was close to him while he was waiting at a red light and "the front passenger door suddenly and forcefully opened, without warning or provocation, and struck [him] on his left side, knocking him and his scooter to the street."
In response, the Get Rich or Die Tryin' actor’s lawyers filed to dismiss the suit and a hearing date was set for December 22, but the parties have reached an agreement.
As per a motion filed on November 35, the two parties "reached an agreement in principle to resolve all claims" and were "in the process of drafting and executing the formal settlement agreement."
Notably, the settlement could likely be because Curtis’s highly anticipated documentary is coming out on December 2nd, and he didn’t want to have a scheduling clash with the two bookings.
50 Cent says that hip-hop and rap are genres that need the voice of the youth, so he is open to songwriting but not to singing himself.
