Tom Cruise paid tribute to Alejandro G. Iñárritu for the 25 successful years of his 2000 movie debut, Amores Perros.

On Monday, November 24, Cruise shared a tribute to mark the debut of Iñárritu's SUEÑO PERRO installation via Twitter.
“Congratulations to my friend Alejandro G. Iñárritu on this incredible art installation celebrating 25 years of Amores Perros and the art of filmmaking around the world,” the Mission: Impossible actor wrote in the caption.
The post included an immersive video showcasing an exclusive experience of fog, projections, and metallic structures.
Amores Perros is Iñárritu’s gritty 2000 debut, weaving three interconnected stories around love, betrayal, and violence in Mexico City.
The film explores human nature through raw, emotional storytelling, with dogs symbolising loyalty, survival, and fate.
Celebrated for its inventive structure and intense realism, it launched Iñárritu’s global career and remains a landmark in contemporary Mexican cinema.
Cruise is starring in a wild, dark comedy directed by Iñárritu about a powerful man on a frantic mission to prove he’s humanity’s saviour before a disaster he caused destroys everything.
The untitled film is set to release on October 2, 2026.
