Kris Jenner confesses to a moment with her ex-husband Robert Kardashian’s family that left her shocked to the core.
The momager said her culturally rich Armenian in-laws wanted her to birth a son from day one of her first pregnancy.
“Robert Kardashian Sr. came from a big Armenian family, and they were praying for a boy from day one,” she said while talking on the latest episode of Jay Shetty's On Purpose podcast.
She further revealed that throughout her pregnancies, she would constantly hear “I hope it’s the boy! I hope it’s the boy!” from her in-laws to reflect how much they wanted it to be a male child.
The 70-year-old birthed three daughters including Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, and Khloé Kardashian before his only son from the late kardashian, Rob Kardashian.
She joked about the event by saying how she kept delivering “another girl,” adding to the disappointment of her in-laws each time, yet everything changed the day she finally birthed a son.
Jenner explained how the family was celebrating the day, “When Robert was born, it was like all the Armenians were rejoicing.” She added, “It was so joyful. It felt like New Year’s Eve.”
The Jenner Communications owner expressed how his son helped her understand the in-laws' son preference as a family head within their culture.
The reality star mom has two more daughters, Kylie Jenner and Kendall Jenner, who share with her second and now ex-husband, Caitlyn Jenner, formerly known as Bruce Jenner.
