Dwayne Johnson reflected on how his recent biopic, The Smashing Machine has made an impact on his life during the in a podcast.

The wrestler who also goes by the name, The Rock recently talked about his life and care at The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast in front of 500 film students at Chapman University in Orange County.

While talking about other things, Dwayne also opened up about the documentary he did for UFC fighter Mark Kerr that failed at the box office.

He revealed that the movie directed by Benny Safdie challenged and affected his life in ways that he never anticipated.

As he described the movie as a “turning point” in his life that he was looking for a long time, he also added that he didn’t know he was capable of doing it, “sometimes it takes people around you to go: ‘Come on, you could do this’.”

The Black Adams star admitted the failure of the movie at the box office and confessed, “it was okay because it just represented the thing I did for me.”

The 53-year-old concluded that he will remember the movie as the opportunity of a lifetime and will continue to implement the knowledge and experience he gained from this project, into future ones.

For the unversed, Fast & Furious 6 actor is currently working with directors Martin Scorsese and Darren Aronofsky for his new projects.
