Sydney Sweeney drops shocking confession amid Scooter Braun romance

Sydney Sweeney, who is no stranger to controversies, has recently revealed a surprising side of her personal life, leaving fans stunned.

The 28-year-old actress, who is currently wrapping up filming for the highly anticipated Euphoria season 3, has opened up about the brutal beauty standards she faced long before finding fame.

In an exclusive interview with Variety, she disclosed that industry insiders made harsh comments about her appearance during the early stages of her career.

“I have very strong eyebrow muscles,” she shared. 

“And I had someone tell me to fix my face or else I’m not going to make it. I should get Botox. I was 16!”

The Immaculate actress also recalled the disrespect she faced during auditions, adding that casting directors often paid little attention to her performances.

Despite the early criticism, she has now become one of Hollywood’s most in-demand actresses, celebrated for portraying complex and flawed characters.

The White Lotus creator Mike White was instantly captivated by her natural talent, saying, “She just pops on-screen. She just has that star quality.”

Director Paul Feig also echoed the praise, calling Sydney “one of the most confident and savvy people” he’s ever met.

Apart from this, she also made headlines for her new romance with American businessman Scooter Braun.

Her American Eagle campaign titled “Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans” drew backlash for its wordplay on “jeans” and “genes,” with critics accusing it of promoting tone-deaf or racially charged messaging, though the brand defended it as a harmless pun. 

Earlier, she faced outrage over her collaboration with Dr. Squatch for a limited-edition soap that allegedly contained drops of her bathwater.

More recently, reports suggested she felt “ostracised” at the Emmy Awards, skipping after-parties amid claims some industry peers distanced themselves due to her ongoing controversies and perceived political stance.
