Taylor Swift, who recently dropped her new album The Life of A Showgirl, sent a generous amount for one of her young fans suffering from an aggressive cancer.
Lilah, a two year-old music lover, was diagnosed with stage four tumour which was later confirmed to be an atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumour.
As a way to cope, her mother Katelynn began documenting their lives on social media platforms where one of the videos caught Taylor’s attention.
The young fighter was recorded recognising the 35-year-old’s music, declaring that the pop sensation is her friend while jamming to the new album.
Speaking with People magazine, Lilah’s mother admitted she thought the fund was a joke, “For about 30 minutes, we questioned if it was real.”
However, the parents were shocked to see it on the “back end of GoFundME, along with a message” from Taylor that read: “Sending you the biggest hug to my friend Lilah.”
Soon after the Grammy winner donated 100 grand, Swifties flooded the page and “ran.” She added: “They’ve almost doubled her donation now. I feel like I can’t say thank you enough.”
When asked if the Lover crooner reached out to them personally, the family noted that the songstress is “a very busy woman,” expressing gratitude on “what she did was more than enough.”
Katelynn revealed they indeed felt “like she gave us the biggest hug.”
This is one of many instances where the Eras Tour star showed her generosity as the billionaire is known for contributing to charities and tipping her staff with large bills.
