The rapper presumably had an eye-opening moment as she discovered high rents in New York City, noting: “The rent is so f**king high and crazy… I am so sorry.”
Cardi admitted that she was shocked “how people [are] surviving” as she questioned “how the f**k a one bedroom, white refrigerator, is $1,500.”
The move was applauded by her fans who compared her to fellow musician, remarking: “Taylor Swift could neverrrrr with this level of accountability/humility.”
An X user seemingly poked fun at the 14-time Grammy winner for “selling 21 slightly different versions of the same album.”
Another admirer recalled her struggle phase, pointing out that she “remembers how hard life was before she got famous.”
