Jennifer Aniston might have mastered it all, from American sitcoms to OTT series and even an Emmy win, but there’s still one career shift that terrifies her.

In the November issue of Harper's Bazaar magazine, the Friends alum revealed that she wishes to act on the Broadway stage in New York City, a risky career pivot that actresses like Scarlett Johansson, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Sabrina Carpenter have already mastered.

Theatre has always been Aniston’s dream ever since she attended the FAME school in Manhattan.

“I haven't done theatre yet because it terrifies me, but it's the one thing I haven't tried besides making an album, which I doubt I'll do!” she said. “But I grew up in New York and loved going to the theatre, so I think it'd be fun.”

Back in 2007, The Morning Show actress was set to produce and star in a musical film about singing prisoners, and she even took voice lessons to prepare for the role.

Titled The Goree Girls, the project centered on eight women imprisoned in 1940s Texas who went on to form the first all-female country-and-western band in the US.

Unfortunately, the movie never materialized.

It’s not the first time Aniston has expressed an interest in theatre, either. She previously told Vanity Fair that she dreams of performing on stage.

“Growing up in New York City and seeing Annie, you just get swept into a fantasy world. I want to do that,” she shared.
