Louis Tomlinson reveals how he found out about Liam Payne’s death

Louis Tomlinson has opened up about his bandmate Liam Payne’s death.

One Direction star Liam Payne passed away in a tragic incident last year after falling from his hotel room’s balcony during his stay in Buenos Aires which proved to be fatal.

The singer, who has been promoting his new album How Did We Get Here?, revealed how he found out about the tragedy.

Speaking to Steven Bartlett on The Diary Of A CEO podcast, Louis recalled the moment when he was informed of his bandmate’s death.

The pop star was informed by his other bandmate, Niall, that Liam has passed away.

Recalling the day, Louis said he was in the car after dropping his son, Freddie, to school when Niall broke the news to him.

“I actually found out through Niall, and he told me and yeah, he said something like, ‘Lads have you seen the news’, and I think I knew what he meant.”, Louis said.

Louis also opened up how he regrets not being able to help the late singer.

“I could have helped really, because it was so much deeper than what I could have done for him”, Louis admitted.

Liam’s body was flown to UK in November where the funeral took place which was attended by all his bandmates.
