Travis Kelce has given his review of Taylor Swift’s scathing diss masked with a layer of irony and sarcasm aimed at Charli XCX.
The 7th track on The Life of a Showgirl, Actually Romantic is largely believed to be for the Rewind singer, as a response to her initial track targeting the Karma singer, Sympathy is a knife.
In the latest episode of the Kansas City Chiefs player and his brother Jason Kelce’s New Heights podcast, the tight end revealed what he really thought of the track, starting off by the brothers listing it as one of their favourite songs from the record.
"I like 'Actually Romantic' a lot, that’s become, I wouldn’t say my new favorite, but that’s the one I catch myself going to whenever I look at the list,” Travis stated.
The National Football League player went on to say, “It’s got that alternative rock, like fun '90s rock. I love that s**. She makes talking s** sound so sweet.”
Although Taylor hasn’t confirmed or revealed the identity of the person the song is for, some of the lyrics and a lot of other evidence gathered by fans is proof of the subject being Charli.
Charli appears to have subtly responded to Taylor, since she posted an image of her in a recording studio, hinting that she might come out with a response.
