Oscar-winning Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie is welcoming a new beginning beyond Hollywood and Los Angeles.
Back in 2019, Jolie hinted that she “would love to live abroad and will do so as soon as my children are 18,” while speaking with Harper’s Bazaar, explaining that at the time, her kids needed to live closer to their father, Brad Pitt.
Recently, a source confirmed to Us Weekly that the Maleficent actress “plans to move after her twins turn 18 next year in July.”
After finalizing her long eight-year divorce from Brad Pitt, insiders say Angelina Jolie seems transformed, “lighter and more at ease.”
Despite her affection for Los Angeles, the Maria star reportedly feels the city has “served its purpose,” with sources revealing she’s ready to embrace a brand-new chapter in life. “She’s very excited for this next phase of her life,” another insider adds.
According to reports, Jolie plans to split her time between Cambodia, France, and Africa, regions that hold deep personal meaning for her. “They’re all very special places… She has dear friends in all of [those areas] who she considers confidantes and family,” one source shares.
An insider further explains that “Angelina, when she’s outside of Hollywood… she loves being in cultures that inspire her,” suggesting her next move will focus on creativity and purpose rather than the Hollywood spotlight.
Still, the actress isn’t cutting ties with Los Angeles entirely. “She will be back and forth to LA for work but won’t call this city her home,” a source clarifies.
Meanwhile, her children are expected to maintain roots in LA for their own careers but will join her wherever she settles.
Currently, Jolie is in London filming her Netflix project, Anxious People, and continues her humanitarian efforts with the United Nations.
According to an insider, “She has been through so much. For now, she’s just focusing on her career and her kids. She’s found herself again, and it feels good.”
