Jennifer Aniston is proving to be an unstoppable news reporter in The Morning Show season 4, as Apple TV+ shared a glimpse of a dramatic scene.
The video, released on YouTube, revisits last year’s viral moment of Aniston being slathered in oil while filming the critically acclaimed series.
The clip begins with the Emmy-winning actress slipping into the role of journalist Alex Levy, frustrated while stuck in traffic.
“What the hell is happening, Charlie?” she asks.“I gotta get downtown,” she adds, as she tries to make it on time for an important work-related task.
As her driver apologises, explaining there’s “nowhere to go” because they’re “stuck” in traffic, Alex makes a snap decision: “I’m walking.”
Stepping out of the car, Aniston’s character is instantly swept into a protest, with demonstrators chanting: “No more coal! No more oil! Keep the carbon in the soil!”
Frustrated, Alex mutters that the protest is “a circus” and admits she’s “never gonna make it” to her destination. But then, she has a bold idea — to turn the chaos into a live social media report.
“I am at 23rd and Broadway, where traffic is at a standstill, where the city has come to a standstill, as the radical Earth activist group Extinction—” she begins, only to be cut off when a protester suddenly douses her with oil, shouting: “F--- the media!”
Shaken but not silenced, Alex refuses to back down. Handing her phone to her assistant, she insists: “Please keep filming — I’m live.”
The Morning Show season 4 is now streaming on Apple TV+.
