Sean “Diddy” Combs, famously known as the hip-hop mogul behind hits like I’ll Be Missing You, is hoping to leave prison next month.

The 55-year-old hip-hop legend is locked up after being found guilty on two counts of transporting someone for prostitution, with sentencing set for October 3.

According to sources, Diddy’s legal team is fighting for a lighter sentence, pointing out that he has already spent 13 months in Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center under harsh conditions.

The Bad Boy Records founder reportedly became sober for the first time in 25 years while in jail and has inspired fellow inmates with self-improvement programs.

Prosecutors are pushing for a stiff 51-to-63-month sentence, but the rapper’s attorneys are asking for just 14 months with supervised release, including mandatory drug treatment and therapy.

They emphasised that the conviction has severely damaged his reputation, business, and family life, as he cares for seven children and his elderly mother.

Last Night hitmaker’s lawyer, Marc Agnifolo, told Variety, “He misses his kids… He wants to start small, spend time with his children, and get reacquainted with his own life.”

They also argued that he has no prior criminal history, stressing that his clean record should be taken into account when requesting a reduced sentence.
