Sean “Diddy” Combs is seeking the hefty amount of $100 million for defamation over a documentary, and the case has just been hit with more details.
The Bad Boy Records founder had sued NBCUniversal and Peacock for their documentary, Diddy: The Making Of A Bad Boy for a bunch of reasons.
In an exclusive report by AllHipHop, the I’ll Be Missing You singer is citing the making of the documentary being rushed as well as the coverage of Rodney "Lil Rod" Jones' civil lawsuit in the film being wrong.
This has been proven by a quote from the studio’s production house co-founder Ari Mark about the documentary, "It's really competitive and I think that is why it wasn't enough to be fast, it was also necessary to be distinct.”
"There's no time and this was an extremely fast turnaround,” the film producer continued.
There is insufficient evidence against Diddy in the Lil Rod case, and the plaintiff’s claims have also officially been dismissed.
The 55-year-old’s legal team might end up making a strong case for defamation due to this and their rushing of the project to get ahead of their competition.
Diddy is yet to be sentenced for his sex trafficking trial, and the date set for the transportation to engage in prostitution charge on October 3rd.
