Howard Stern joined Hollywood stars in defending Jimmy Kimmel on-air, as he deleted his Disney+ subscription.
On the Monday, September 22, episode of SiriusXM's The Howard Stern Show, Stern discussed Jimmy Kimmel Live! being paused from going on air due to Kimmel's comments about Charlie Kirk.
Stern said that he had been in touch with Kimmel before he shared his opinions about the suspension.
"I don't know what their plan is, but it looks like they might be firing him,” Stern said. “Then I read sometimes that they're not going to fire him, I don't know.”
"I have spoken to Jimmy. I didn't ask him these questions," Stern continued. "I just asked him how he was doing personally."
Besides Stern, the staff at The View has broken their silence over Kimmel’s suspension after not uttering a word in two consecutive episodes following the host’s controversy.
A few days ago, ABC suspended Kimmel for comments about the death of Trump ally Charlie Kirk, which has fueled the controversy surrounding Trump’s rivalries with U.S. late-night show hosts.
