Mark Ruffalo, best known for portraying The Hulk in the Avengers franchise, has expressed his support for American TV host Jimmy Kimmel.
Kimmel, who was shockingly suspended from his late-night show, has received widespread backing from Hollywood.
The comedian’s contentious comments about political commentator Charlie Kirk reportedly prompted Disney’s ABC to cancel the episode, leaving both fans and celebrities outraged.
Hollywood heavyweights, including Ben Stiller, John Legend, and Jamie Lee Curtis, voiced their support for him on social media.
Ruffalo has now also joined the debate, issuing a strong warning to Disney.
Posting on Threads, the 57-year-old actor hinted at the financial fallout, pointing out that Disney’s stock has already dropped 7% since Kimmel’s suspension.
“It’s going to go down a lot further if they cancel his show,” he wrote. “Disney does not want to be the ones that broke America.”
The warning comes as Disney faces mounting pressure from fans and A-listers alike, questioning whether punishing Kimmel was the right move.
On the work front, Ruffalo himself has a busy year ahead, set to reprise his Hulk role in Avengers: Doomsday and star in Now You See Me 3, due for release on November 14.
