Raymond Harper, widely known as Rolling Ray, has reportedly passed away at the age of 28, just one day after celebrating his birthday on September 5.

News of his alleged death spread quickly online after emotional Facebook posts, said to be written by his mother, Sazola Nay, and his cousin, began circulating.

Fans immediately took to social media to share heartfelt tributes, remembering him as an unapologetic force of personality.

Throughout his life, Ray faced a series of serious health challenges.

He survived severe burns in 2021, contracted COVID-19, and slipped into a coma in 2022.

Earlier this year, he was hospitalised again due to pneumonia and a blood infection.

Living with a disability, he relied on a wheelchair for mobility but continued to embrace his life.

However, his passing has not been officially confirmed.

In fact, speculation about his current condition has grown after his mother reportedly deleted her initial announcement post, leading many to believe that the rapper may still be alive but struggling with health issues.

For those unfamiliar with his journey, Rolling Ray first rose to fame in 2018 after appearing on MTV’s Catfish: Trolls.

His charisma later landed him on shows such as Divorce Court and Bobby I Love U, Purrr.

Beyond reality television, he became a viral internet sensation due to his iconic catchphrase “purr,” a slang term that quickly spread among Gen Z.
