Former K-pop group GOT7 member Jackson Wang had to be rushed to the emergency room due to food poisoning.
The news was revealed by the team at his label, Team Wang Records, explaining that a fan signing event had to be delayed.
The statement read, “We’re so sorry to let you know that today’s Music Korea Fan Sign Event has to be cancelled. Jackson was taken to the emergency room at midnight yesterday due to sudden food poisoning and needs time to rest and recover under medical care.”
Wang recently released his second full length album named Magic Man 2 in July, and will be taking off on his world tour in October, with locations including stops like Bangkok on Oct. 3 and 4, Macau on Oct. 11 and 12, Jakarta on Oct. 18, Kuala Lumpur on Oct. 25, Manila on Nov. 2 and Tokyo on Nov. 6.
Reflecting on his album in an interview with Forbes, the singer said, “Aside from all the love [I’ve received since the release], I feel relieved. I feel I’m more light. It feels like a detox. This is one of those albums that I feel like I need out there in my life. It’s probably the first time that I’ve been this direct with my community, supporters, and fans. I feel great. I feel free.”
