Denzel Washington is one of the most respected actors of Hollywood who has given legendary movies throughout his career.
The actor has been nominated for the most revered Academy award multiple times and ended up winning twice.
The legendary actor won his first Oscar in Best Supporting Actor category for Glory in 1990 and later won the Best Actor award for Training Day in 2002.
However, after being in the industry for decades and making many movies, the actor has adopted a post-Oscars mentality.
He made an appearance on Jake’s Takes to promote his latest film Highest 2 Lowest, where he made an interesting statement about awards and accolades saying awards do not mean that much to him.
“Man gives the award, God gives the reward. I’m not that interested in Oscars.”, Denzel stated.
The 70-year-old icon also admitted there have been times he has won when he should not have won and similarly “didn’t win, should have won”.
He also revealed where he keeps his two golden trophies.
“People say, ‘Well, where do you keep it?’ I say, ‘Next to the other one’”.
The acting icon said he is not bragging but being honest as the awards will not do any good when he passes away.
