Sydney Sweeney, who is embroiled in a Jeans ad controversy, seemingly decided to clap back at criticism in style.
Although the actress was called out for being part of American Eagle campaign, Sydney made an unbothered appearance at a party.
On August 15, the Anyone But You star took to her Instagram to give a sneak peek into the event with a caption: “duval diaries.”
The Euphoria actress seemingly poked fun at the ongoing buzz by pairing a white, crop-top with a pair of dark-blue jeans as she appears in high spirits.
Noticeably, most of her friends followed the denim-theme at the evening.
This was instantly noted by one of the users: “I like your jeans.” While another follower simply used denim emojis to appreciate her bottoms.
A third follower understood the pun, passing a witty compliment for the Immaculate star: “Those good genes (I mean jeans).”
This came after the actress was chosen as the face of the clothing line’s controversial commercial, which was perceived as “racist” by the online community.
Despite the backlash, the Hollywood star was applauded for her role by the 47th president of the United States Donald Trump.
However, this is not the first time her role sparked backlash as Sydeny previously partnered with a men grooming brand to release a soap made with her body water.
It is being speculated by many critics that these are calculated moves in order to stay relevant and garner public attention.
