Cardi B and Offset have been vocal about the end of their relationship and the messy divorce that followed, so when the Bodak Yellow singer released Outside, a majority of people took it as a diss against her ex-husband.
The eight-time Billboard Music Award winner had also made a number of shocking revelations about the father of her children, slamming him for seeking spousal support via their divorce proceedings and dropping the track soon after her scathing rant.
In an episode of the Joe Budden Podcast, the Open It Up rapper was discussing his upcoming album, when he surprisingly disclosed that he knew about Cardi’s Outside long before its release.
"I actually knew about the song before it was released, even before the drama unfolded. If it’s directed at me. Timing is crucial. That record was completed a while ago. I’m aware of it. It appears as it does,” he noted.
Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, then opened up about his forthcoming self-titled Kiari, which is set to release on August 22.
The 33-year-old also revealed that the new album will not contain any disses towards his ex-wife, since there was much more at stake to mention his family life and that it was rather like therapy for himself.
Yes, Cardi will be dropping her album, Am I The Drama? which also features Outside, next month on September 19.
