Rihanna’s recent bold maternity look had fans poking fun at her, but the price tag was certainly no laughing matter.
The Diamond singer sported her exclusive, eye-catching attire while out and was also rumoured to be touring again, as she was seen in Los Angeles on Monday.
She opted for a flowing, pastel-hued maternity maxi with a soft, textured fabric and a unique draped neckline, exuding a dreamy cotton candy vibe that blends elegance with comfort.
However, the cost of that dress is $2,845, a Spring/Summer 2001 vintage piece by Issey Miyake.
The 37-year-old donned mildly parted sleek hair with braids on both sides, paired with large white flower ear cuffs and chunky bangles.
That wasn't the only couture she proudly displayed as she strutted her stuff in a pair of silver and lime green Puma x Ottolinger Mostro sneakers, which retail for $275.
When the Rihanna fan account @gabgonebad on X shared pictures of her, some fans made fun of her appearance.
“What is my mom wearing.....,” one user wrote while another said, “Not my favorite one but she’s still rockin it.”
Jahleel Weaver, Rihanna's stylist and the creative director of her fashion label Fenty from 2019 to 2021, was even criticised by one user.
They wrote, “Fire Jahleel immediately.”
