Tom Holland opened up about the unforgettable 2017 appearance on Lip Sync Battle to Gordon Ramsay, providing some context into how the moment came to be.
The Spider-Man: Far From Home star was competing against his now-fiancée Zendaya, which he won by doing an outfit change and showing up in full drag, complete with makeup, a corset, a wig and fishnets and dancing to Rihanna’s track Umbrella, in the rain.
In the latest episode of the celebrity chef’s show, Scrambled, the 29-year-old was asked about the tights, with the former quipping if they were his mom’s.
The Uncharted actor replied with, "They were my granny's, actually," making the Kitchen Nightmares star laugh.
Tom then described how his fame surrounding his other projects compares to this one noting, "It's never Spider-Man, it's never any of my other movies, it's always Lip Sync Battle. It haunts me."
The BAFTA award winner also detailed that him and the Dune actress had decided to keep things easy breezy, but his intent shifted during rehearsals with the creative team.
Tom further revealed that his father, Dominic Holland, had warned him beforehand, telling him he doesn’t think that he should do the suggestive and passionate number.
